Captain Cal is a highly qualified mariner. He is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain with over 35 years of boating and sailing experience, including extended cruises along the Intracoastal Waterway, off shore Atlantic and the Bahamian Islands.
Calvin is a skilled scuba diver certified as an Open Water Diver and a Rescue Diver. He is Red Cross certified in First aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. He is a qualified First Responder as well as a highly trained Industrial Mechanic, with an intimate knowledge of "Latitudes" mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. He has all bases covered above and below deck!
He retired from Dupont in 1999 after 30 years of service and proceeded to realize his life long dream of cruising "the Islands" It was during this time he discovered the joy of sharing his love for the sea both above and below the waves with others.
While in the islands Calvin guided lobster and conch hunts where everyone involved caught their own under his expert guidance. Afterwards there was always a wonderful dinner party on shore where we would cook the days catch and then relax around a camp fire while Captain Cal entertained all with his guitar picking and the juke box in his head.

He is a talented performer and an accomplished singer /songwriter . You will find it easy to have fun with Captain Cal. His love of the sea and sailing is quite contagious. He welcomes all to join him and experience the pleasure on board "Latitudes"
